Mozaico Showcases Mosaic Art at We Design Beirut’s “Totems of the Present & the Absent” Exhibition

At Mozaico, every mosaic tells a story — one of craftsmanship, creativity, and timeless artistry. We’re proud to take part in “Totems of the Present & the Absent”, an exhibition organized by We Design Beirut, a design event and platform launched in Beirut to celebrate design, culture, and craftsmanship.

Hosted at the historic Villa Audi, a Beiruti landmark blending Ottoman and European influences, the exhibition pays tribute to Gregory Gatserelia, visionary curator and founder of SMO Gallery. It brings together an inspiring collection of designers from Lebanon and beyond, exploring themes of presence, memory, and legacy — concepts that resonate deeply with Mozaico’s vision and artistic philosophy.

A Celebration of Mosaic Art and Design

For Mozaico, participating in this design exhibition is more than a showcase — it’s a tribute to the enduring connection between heritage and innovation. Each mosaic on display represents a blend of ancient craftsmanship and modern design thinking.

Our artisans meticulously hand-cut each stone, transforming raw marble into intricate compositions that capture light, texture, and movement. From traditional patterns to bold contemporary designs, every Mozaico piece celebrates artisan craftsmanship at its finest.

Beyond Walls: The Versatility of Mosaics

One of the most exciting aspects of this exhibition is the opportunity to highlight the versatility of mosaic art. At Mozaico, we believe that mosaics can be installed anywhere — not just on walls or floors, but as part of creative, functional, and unexpected design elements.

From mosaic tables that blend art and utility, to outdoor mosaic benches that transform public and garden spaces, and custom mosaic furniture pieces that turn everyday objects into masterpieces — our designs prove that mosaic art knows no boundaries.

This adaptability is what makes Mozaico’s creations so distinct: each piece can be reimagined for interiors, exteriors, architectural details, or artistic installations — wherever craftsmanship and imagination meet.

From Studio to Exhibition

Behind every mosaic lies a story of dedication and precision. In our workshop, artisans refine every detail — shaping, polishing, and arranging stones by hand — until balance and beauty are achieved. These quiet moments of creation are where artistry truly comes alive.

For this exhibition, our team selected pieces that reflect Mozaico’s evolving identity: elegant yet daring, deeply rooted in heritage yet open to new materials, applications, and ideas. Learn more about our custom mosaic designs crafted for unique spaces.

Celebrating Creativity Without Boundaries

We Design Beirut serves as a bridge between artisans, designers, and cultural visionaries — a platform where creativity thrives. For Mozaico, being part of this initiative reflects our belief that design has no borders, and that craftsmanship remains a universal language that connects people through beauty and meaning.

Our participation in “Totems of the Present & the Absent” reaffirms our mission to keep mosaic art alive — not as a relic of the past, but as a living, adaptable art form for the modern world. Discover more ideas on our Mosaic Art Inspiration page.

Celebrating the Journey of Mosaic Art and Craftsmanship

As this exhibition continues, we celebrate the fusion of art, culture, and innovation. From mosaic furniture to architectural installations, Mozaico continues to redefine how and where mosaic art can exist — proving that creativity, like craftsmanship, is limitless.

A heartfelt thank-you to We Design Beirut for creating a platform that celebrates design, culture, and craftsmanship — and for inspiring a new generation of creators to keep the spirit of artistry alive.
